Brain Storming

Today I had a great Brain Storming session with Rachel and she helped me to come up with some great ideas.
The first idea being that it could be a guy that is running away from something; may be a trying to escape captive. This linked to an idea that I got after to speaking to a mate who is off to Bosnia this summer. I thought that it could be set during the Genocide and that the guy could have escaped captive from a group of soldiers.
Rachel then suggested that there could be a relationship between one of the soldiers and the man trying to escape to bring depth to the story. I agreed and we took this to be homosexual relationship, where that soldier would find the Man before the rest. But that lead to the questions where? and how? would he find him. Rachel then suggested a Church to throw up some controversy, in that homosexuality is frowned upon in religious arenas.
One of my passing thoughts during all of this was that we could shoot the whole thing in a different language. This was so that the viewer would focus more on the actions rather than what was being said. To carry on with the Bosnia theme maybe the soldiers could speak Serbian?

We also thought about how to end the story. My thoughts were that the soldier should have to make the decision on whether his loyalties lied with his lover or with the soldiers. Therefore you could have a scene where the other soldiers catch up with him and his lover and he is forced to make the decision on whether to shoot his lover or not.

New Film Idea

I have now completed my second year of university and hopefully moving on to my final year, pending results ect. Therefore I thought it may be a great time, now that i have 4 months off, to start think of an idea for my Graduation film.

I've had this piece of music which I have been wanting to use in a film for quite sometime, however it seems to fit. Whether it being the right style or that it creates the wrong atmosphere. This song is 'Take me into your skin' by Trentemoller.
After listening to the song repetitively, over and over again. Images of a man in a forests started to come into my head.

There I had it a starting point, but what was this man doing in the forest?
where was he coming from?
where was he going to?
why was he there?

These are question I need to work out...
